Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Murphy Afolabi, who clocked 49 on May 5th, has been buried at his residence in Ikorodu, Lagos state.
The Nollywood actor, who died on Sunday, May 14th, just days after his 49th birthday, was buried amid tears on Monday evening, May 15th.
His body was taken from the mortuary in Isolo, where it had been deposited, and taken to Ikorodu, where it was buried according to Islamic rites.
His funeral was well attended by his peers from the Yoruba film industry.

In other news, the Nollywood film Industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of another popular actor, Chikezie Uwazie, in the United States.
The veteran actor was one of the top actors in the Nigerian film industry in the 2000s before moving to the United States of America seven years ago.
One of his colleagues, Obey Etok Chima, who confirmed the devastating news, said he died after undergoing a second brain operation.
