Controversial Nollywood actor and politician, Yul Edochie, has sparked mixed reactions after sharing the secret to a happy life on social media.

The movie director took to his verified Instagram page to share some foolproof tips for living a happy life, prompting massive reactions from his fans and followers.

According to Yul Edochie, a proud father of five with two beautiful wives, the most important secret to a happy life is gratitude.

The movie director further noted that a person who is never grateful for what they have would never be happy.

In his words,

“Always be grateful for what you have. If you keep looking at what you don’t have, you will never be happy. Be grateful for what you have, and be grateful for where you are and what you have achieved. I’m not saying you shouldn’t set goals for yourself or that you shouldn’t set targets.

The fact that you’re still alive means that you’re winning even if you haven’t achieved much. A lot of people died yesterday, and a lot of people are dying at the moment. The fact that you have life means that you are winning,” Yul Edochie said.

However, in a rather shocking reaction to the blunt advice, a number of social media users trolled the actor, who had been repeatedly slammed online since revealing Judy Austin as his second wife.

While some agree with his opinion, many others have urged him to take his own advice first and decide if he’s truly happy.
